Whether you’re searching for templates to match your glamorous gathering or rustic wedding invitations for your farmhouse nuptials, we have a flurry of different invitation styles. Discover designs with snow-covered blossoms for your winter wonderland wedding invitations, as well as simpler templates sprinkled with metallic confetti and geometric patterns.

Customizing winter-themed wedding invitations

Give your winter wedding theme a unique feel by customizing details on your invitations—choose different fonts and colors, change the size and formatting of text boxes, or add stickers and images to personalize it further.

Maybe your design features fresh flowers, and you want a specific type of flower from your bouquet to be represented—our Personal Design Services team can make that happen! They’ll be able to turn your vision into reality, whether it’s a minor edit to an existing template or working with you one-on-one to build a completely custom winter wedding invitation.

Wedding planning perks from Paperless Post

Drift through the start of wedding planning with some assistance from our end. Send online wedding invitations via text, email, or shareable link, and take advantage of Paperless Post’s guest management features to make life easier. Message guests, check open statuses, send reminders, and let the RSVP tracker take care of the headcount once replies start rolling in. If you want to inquire about food restrictions or see if invitees are attending additional wedding-related events, ask guests questions in varied formats as they fill out their RSVPs.

What do you write in a winter wedding invitation?

Standard wedding invitation etiquette suggests including only the most necessary information on your invitations—the couple’s names, date and time, location, and dress code. Display any extra details in Blocks, which appear below your invitation, and showcase additional information. A Details Block has room for both text and links, a Travel Block works wonders for destination weddings, a Registry Block is your best bet for sharing your wedding wishlist, and Accommodation Blocks are great for sharing links for hotel recommendations.

When should you send winter wedding invitations?

It depends. The general guideline is to send wedding invitations eight weeks before the big day, but if your ceremony falls during Christmas or the New Year, send them a couple of weeks earlier. If you’re planning a winter destination wedding, we recommend invitations go out four months in advance.

Once you send your invitations, consider getting an early start on wedding thank you cards. Create them now, but schedule to send them automatically after your wedding. You can also save your progress halfway through so you and your partner can jump back in and write a personal note to each guest and thank them for their specific gift.
